Mid-Winter Reflections ~ 2/8/2010
Blessings Everyone! I was going to begin this update with a thought about Surrender and how this time of year – mid winter – seems to inspire inner reflection, release, and letting go. I’m also thinking how easy this winter has been. I’ve only shoveled the driveway once rather than a dozen times which was the norm last year. And with the sun shining brightly today, despite the cold temperature, it’s a gorgeous day, full of Light and clear blue skies. Although these thoughts might seem incongruous, I’m somewhat pleased with “my creation”. And I’m learning to Surrender, yet again, to the powerful current of Well-Being flowing downstream towards my “vortex”.
Finding humour in the antics of my mind, which refuses on occasion (ahem) to relinquish control over “my destiny”; to that higher vibration I’ve come to call Self (with a capital S) or God. It’s remarkable really; this ability of ours to utilize the power of creation to deny the power of creation (and I’m going to add quite arrogant). To hold off through simple limiting patterns of thought the multitudes of abundance, success, joy, brilliance, and excitement both as experiences and manifestations.
In my minds eye I can see a picture of humanity wailing away in self-pity; whining and crying “poor me” (all relative of course and my own “sad story” among them). It makes me ask myself; what in the world is going on here? And more importantly; Why?
To what end do we suffer: Is the drama of separation so intriguing that we collectively have become addicted to the story? And upon recognizing this are we not that much farther along the path of letting it go?
If my destiny is to return to the Home I never left, except in my imagination, and by denying my destiny I’m simply using my God given free will to slow my progress to that end, then I gotta ask myself; Am I using my Power wisely? And by that I mean; do I feel effective, successful, and productive? Or do I feel defeated, frustrated, or hopeless?
Hmmm – do I feel good? Or do I feel bad? Am I paddling upstream with all my might, exhausting myself in the process? Or am I surrendering to the flow of Well Being?
Is my journey one of pleasure, or of pain? Either way; it’s MY choice in any moment.
Surrender, Trust, & Gratitude; three magic words, one simple process.
Shall I continue to justify my disconnection from All That Is with cleverness? Or is it simply time to forfeit the fight? In the end; resistance is futile. (smile) I shall return Home, regardless of the distractions along the Path.
Today I choose to go quietly in humility and hopefully; Grace.
Many Blessings as Always,
Rev. Christine
Family Day ~ 2/15/2010
A nice quiet Family Day. I hope everyone enjoyed
it! Almost thought I’d have to shovel the driveway for a minute there as the
snow started coming down yesterday. Alliston seems to be in a bit of a bubble
this year. No complaints here, as I didn’t get a chance to escape
“tropicale” this winter. Inspirationally speaking there has been some
activity as The Centre has been busy attracting some new offerings. Music Monday
with Matt Coffey is a hit, a new young yoga teacher Alyssa Pridham is proposing
classes for teens, our 20-something psychic development group is awesome, and
Laura can’t wait to get started with her new group; Manifesting the Body YOU
Want!
Also, kudos goes out to Kathy Duncan for receiving her Reflexology
certification, a hearty Good Luck to Jenny Jackson who is developing a client
base here at the Centre with her Organic Healing Aesthetics, and a big Congrats
to our latest batch of new Reiki Level 1’s having participated in our very
first New Earth Reiki program inspired by Laura and Rev. Kim! And who said
winter was for hiding??
We’ve got cool workshops and presentations booked
through until June and a Peacemakers Retreat open to All, planned for September.
2010 Rocks!
Tickets go on sale this week for our Fundraising Film
Event… Infinity: The Ultimate Trip, and another Spa Day is in the works. It
seems that the dam has burst and spirituality is becoming “the IN thing to
do”, more popular and accessible by the day. As always, we will keep you
posted!

Brrrrr.... 2/1/2010 ~
So many blessings, so
little time! Our first Spa Day of the year was a rousing success. Nine wonderful
facilitators/readers volunteered their time and expertise, attracting some 20
new clients through the Centre. Everything ran smoothly, the feedback was
awesome, and many wanted to know when we would be doing this again! Gotta love
it! I believe that 2010 is the year of the Healer in that what many of us have
been involved in for over a decade will “over night” become simply normal.
The demand for spiritual teachers, mentors, facilitators, readers and everything
in between will propel all of us into an easier almost effortless prosperity. We
get to spend our days doing what we love. We will be an inspiration to many,
many people, a strong support system for one another, and midwives to an
unprecedented “birthing” of humanity. Spirit will guide each of us
towards what we do “best”, in that we will no longer need to wear so many
hats to “survive”, but instead will be free to hone our unique skills as
specialists in our Holistic field. In addition, many are being called into the
Healing Arts for the first time, while others are being called to go deeper into
their self-development. There is a place for everyone and everyone in their
place. Such a perfect design. I feel blessed to be a witness to it all. Yes,
this is indeed “what I signed up for”. (smile)
Many
Blessings as Always,
Rev. Christine

New, New, and More New ~ 1/25/2010
What an interesting week this
has been. The energy from last weekends festivities clearly opened up some new
pathways and the manifestations have been coming in fast and furious. Great new
ideas for group gatherings (spiritual parenting, teen psychic development,
men’s group, sacred sound), booking international talent (Phil Gruber
contributor to best seller The Kabbalah Code coming in May), arranging the
screening of a new Spiritual Film about life after death (called Infintiy; the
Ultimate Journey), and the go ahead for a Beloved Community sanctioned retreat
in September (with James Twyman presenting). Whew! Ever since we said that
darned “YES”, the phone has been ringing off the hook, so to speak! Gotta
love it. So, no long stories today my friends. Just the reminder to stay
involved with your favorite spiritual practice. The energies are moving SO fast,
what we focus on is manifesting in record time. So, “be careful what you wish
for”! Make sure you are pointing that manifestation machine of yours in the
direction you WANT to go, rather than where you have been! Stay focused on YOUR
vortex. See you soon!
Many Blessings as Always,
Rev.
Christine
