AS the summer winds down and the call back to school is upon us, we at The Reiki Centre find ourselves in our 10th month of successful operation. Id like to thank everyone who has contributed to this endeavor, whether in a large way or what might seem small. (toilet paper is such a welcome blessing!)

Every day we are blessed by visitors who seek answers or those gentle souls whose intent is to serve, gifting us with their insights and valuable participation. As we continue to maintain the highest level of integrity possible we are also conscious of the need to remain open and inviting for those just starting out on this fast paced spiritual journey.

The dreams and prayers of The Many are manifested daily through the physical presence and Sanctuary of Peace offered by The Centre. It is our dream to serve as many people as possible, to continue to offer a place of acceptance and guidance through this incredibly transformational time on our little blue planet.

So, with much gratitude and appreciation, we thank you ALL for your time, interest, participation, and generous donations without which we could not continue. We are here to serve; to be a constant reminder of the Oneness Story, to help heal the wounds of pain and suffering caused by separation and attachment, to stand as a place of remembering, a place to gather and to share spiritual insights, wisdom, and stories about LIfe.

November 1, 2008 - Our Phenomenal First Year!

Well Gentlebeings, this month marks The Reiki Centre's first year of operation and to say that it has been a success would be an understatement.  We have generated an email contact list of over 200 names, experienced overwhelming attendance rates for most of our events, networked dozens of healing facilitators of all kinds, as well as expanding our range of curriculum, workshops, and study groups. Private practices have thrived and we are thrilled to be holding the Sacred Space for 8 new Beloved Community Seminary students who upon graduation will be ordained as Ministers of Peace.

Often we have reflected upon our future need for our physical location to expand, and though we know that ultimately we will outgrow our current facility, for now it feels right to simply continue to generate a deeper and more solid Presence. In this way, The Reiki Centre will continue to be a beacon of Light, a resonance of Peace, and a warm and welcome place to gather and share our splendid spiritual journey.

That being said, we don't intend to rest on our laurels. We have some wonderful and fun ideas in store for the next few months designed to help fellow travelers integrate the fast moving energies of our time. So, please join us in celebration during the month of November as we continue to provide insightful, educational opportunities for all ages!

I AM THAT ~ 1/18/2010

If I described our Open House this past Saturday as being phenomenal, I think even that would be an understatement! From the sacred sound “jam” with Matt and David (yup, I drummed too!), to the dozens of visitors (a lot of them first timers!), to the Emissary Wheel ceremony with 20 people pressed shoulder to shoulder (standing room only) in the sanctuary of our Magic Room, to the informative demonstrations.  The whole day was filled with connections, celebrations, laughter, healing, and of course yummy food (thank you kitchen witches!). Hearts were awakened, minds were opened, and spirits soared to new heights. Even Tony got into the spirit of the day by greeting most everyone. It was a sight to see. And as Laura and I reflected on how different this day was from our first Grand Opening in 2008, we felt the strong validation of our shift into a new way of Being, and a deeper level of service than ever before. We both had a sense of the amazing opportunities for expansion in the coming year as well as feeling a much clearer definition of our individual roles as we settled into our “Greatest Version of our Grandest Vision of Who We Really Are”. Surrendering into the destiny of The Reiki Centre and what it stands for, I see our team continuing to grow as commitments are made from dedicated individuals feeling inspired to offer their unique and diverse talents; all in the spirit of Service.

During the ceremony I made mention that the Beloved Community is one of the most modern extensions of an ancient lineage that began with the Church of John, also known as the Community of the Beloved Disciple which represented the feminine energy and believed that no intermediary was needed between the individual and God. Groups such as the Cathars and Bogomils were extensions of this original group who felt their work was to try to reestablish the fulfillment of the Great Prophesy of the second coming, which they believed to mean the release of the Divine Feminine into the world (my throat caught when I read this aloud). 

I believe that time is well upon us and in a most powerful way as we have felt the wondrous Presence of the Divine Mother working to anchor the Principles of Love & Peace through the physical manifestation of the Reiki Centre. The activities at the Centre represent the 3 pillars of Spiritual Will, Mind, and Love through Service, Education, and Practice respectively. Our foundation is now set and the work of assisting humanity in this Grand Adventure of Awakening is well in hand.

I’m so excited about all that is in the works for 2010 I can hardly sleep at night! I thank you ALL for your prayers, participation, and most of all your I AM Presence.

Get Ready ~ 1/11/2010

Wow! What a first week! We officially received our Final Inspection from the whole building permit process. What a journey. It’s truly amazing how one little bathroom can evoke such "attitude”. Ah well, that’s over and done with. Now we can get on with the business of Being Peace once more. Our new space is taking on more personality every day as many of you have contributed your time and energy to helping us get settled. Our deepest gratitude to you ALL. It has been foretold that 2010 will be an incredibly expansive year and so we need to be prepared for multiple changes, growth, and previously unprecedented Joy. All of Spirit is heralding “our” arrival in this new space, this New Earth. One in which we are making the choices that feel best. The choices that are best for us, as individuals, and as the human species. It’s as if “the masses” have been bitten by the Spiritual Bug, and so many more are seeking answers to age old questions of self-empowerment, freedom, and wellness. And we are ready! Spiritual Peacemakers (lightworkers, healers, yogis) on all levels of Awareness are called Now, to render assistance to those who are awakening. Everyone will have their audience. Everyone will have their Teachers. This Grand Cycle of breathing in and breathing out has begun in earnest. We are all officially “out of the closet” as pronounced by Oprah’s Dr. Oz on National Television while he recommended his audience “Try Reiki” in 2010 to experience something new. So get ready everyone. Life is about to Happen!

Give What You Wish to Receive ~ 7/19/2009

Giving to ourselves, nurturing, caring, or taking care of our own basic emotional and psychological needs seems to be one of our greatest challenges. To remember that we are Human BE-ings rather than human do-ings is a lesson we must face over and over again until that day comes when we finally surrender all thoughts of achievement, or altruism, or some belief that we are placed here on this Earth in order to complete some vital task. Life is supposed to be fun. We are eternal beings. We can’t get it wrong BECAUSE we will never “get it done”. Spread the Word!

Here's to 2010 ~ 1/1/2010

Wow! Another year has come and gone, and there’s still so much to do. Or is there? Abraham teaches us that we are just here to have fun, to be joyful, to simply fall in love with life. That we are ever expanding eternal Beings out here on the raw ragged leading edge of creation. That there is way more ahead of us than there is behind. That physical manifestation is simply the next logical step emerging from non-physical. So why do we continue to fret so? Why do we continue to pressure ourselves into performing? Who is it that we have something to ‘prove’ to? What is it that we believe we are ‘healing’ from? …. Ah… the endless stories we tell ourselves, and all in an effort to feel just a little bit better. And rightly so, since it is in the ‘feeling better’ we are better able to line up with that which we were asking for in the first place. When we feel better we see more clearly, we feel more grounded and present, we feel more confident, self-assured, and of course peaceful. Things start to go our way. Manifestations start to reveal themselves. Our energy is able to ‘lighten up’. We smile more often. Our health is better. Our relationships are better. Our path to happiness becomes clearer. All for the Joy of it.

This new year is all about lining up. Nothing is more important than feeling good. For me, this year will be about my Vortex, that place where my inner being (my eternal never changing Self) resides. In that Vortex are all the wonders my mind has conjured up from my past experience of contrast; big or small… it’s all there. And my only task now is to think thoughts that line me up with All of That. This is the year of many teachings coming together in cohesion; through the Power of Love. Through the Principle of the Divine Mother energies. She has gathered her children once again, and Peace Prevails Now.

Week of November 30 ~ 11/30/2009

Thank you so much for your patience. This renovation has turned out to be a bigger job than some of us realized given our "self imposed" deadlines and co-ordinating our wondrous volunteers! We are however, also cognizant of your needs and everyone involved is working overtime to be open for business as soon as possible. This Saturdays Spa Day will include as many of the services our finished space will allow. There is still the opportunity to shop in our mini-gift shop, bid on silent auction items, enjoy a cup of tea & sweets, meet and greet our fine practitioners and receive a Tarot or Akashic records reading, so please stop by any time between 9:30am and 4pm on Saturday. Our first Sunday Service at 10am will be an impromptu gathering in the Main Hall followed by refreshments at 11:00 and additional services at noon.

There is still a lot of jobs to be completed including hanging drywall, mudding & taping, some finishing touches on the front area and bathroom, and of course some cleaning and tidying of the Main Hall towards the end of the week. If you have skills and volunteer hours to donate, please respond with available times ASAP call, or drop by - we will happily put you to work.

Excellent News ~ 11/20/2009

The energy is moving forward again as we gear up for a big weekend of renovation tasks. If you have experience with framing or electrical and can lend a hand for a couple of hours, please call me @ 416-580-8157 as soon as possible.

The messages from Spirit have been strong and purposeful and we are holding securely to Surrender, Trust, & Gratitude! We intend to run the “Walk the Labyrinth” workshop next Saturday November 28 from 11 – 3pm (more details below) and hope you will join us as your contribution will help get The Reiki Centre “back on track”. Not to mention it’s a really cool workshop! (Pre-registrations is required by email please). And we have been busy updating the website too! Have a look. www.thereikicentre.ca

Following this we intend to be Open for Business as of Saturday December 5/6 for our Spa Day Sampler (see attached word doc) with loads of gifted practitioners, a silent auction, and xmas gift ideas. Speaking of which; our window decals are up and look awesome (people keep stopping to read the Emissary Wheel attributes; how cool is that!) and I would love to see some xmas decorations and lights in our front space, so if anyone out there has the skill & inspiration to decorate our window, please call me at my number above.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes. I’m certain they were instrumental during this last transformation phase. And for all those who have lent a hand; thank you! Thank you! (and please come again! LOL)

News on The Home Front ~ 11/20/2009

Renovations continue and we are getting closer to returning to the daily business of Peacemaking. This period of being “in–between” has been given to us so that we might establish a deeper understanding of our purpose; both collectively and individually. We knew we had outgrown the old location energetically and physically and that more people were ready to step into their roles of service. Little did we know however, just what old programs we would be asked to let go of and to what extent we would be asked to face our Truth; what fears we would have to overcome, and to what level we would need to Trust.

For me personally, this has been a time of deep surrender; of old ideas of security, to a higher will, and to my unique path and destiny. Thankfully my trust in my God, the bigger picture, and the ascension process has provided some peace during a time of intense purging. Well before we started down this road of transition, I knew there would be great opportunities for spiritual growth and that if The Reiki Centre was to act as a bridge or portal for future travelers seeking the higher road of Peace, then all involved would have to “step things up a notch”, so to speak.

This is an amazing time on our planet for personal growth in that thousands of opportunities are available through the Internet to connect with some of the most influential peacemakers, lightworkers, teachers, healers, and guru’s from around the world. Information, teleseminars, conference calls, and on line study groups are abundant. We are validated and supported daily through email, auto responders, and timely inspirational messages. What makes places like The Reiki Centre so special is in providing a physical accessible space within which to connect with fellow seekers. It’s a place to sit in sacred circle, to share stories, and to be present in the flesh to support one another. This path can be arduous and its nice to know there is somewhere to go that will accept us as we are, without judgment or fear.

A sanctuary is a place of Peace; a place of stillness, grace, and serenity; a place to worship, a place to celebrate, a place to feel at home.

When we open our doors again, it will be in the perfect Divine Time. There is no rushing this process. All will unfold in perfect order.

13 Days and counting!
The expansion into the new Reiki Centre is fast approaching. Various teams of volunteers have been working diligently to help make this move happen, and we are most grateful for them! Karma Yoga is one of the most interesting forms of spiritual practice in that mindfulness and Presence can be anchored into and through the physical by way of attentive action, gratitude, and selfless giving. As The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking says; “Give everything to everything, and lose nothing.” The process of relieving the ego personality of its thoughts and beliefs of scarcity, insecurity, and unworthiness is accelerated through the act of selfless service, but only if each person is acutely aware of their own patterns of self sabotage that have held her/him back in the past. It is through conscious recognition of deeply imbedded and certainly collective, feelings of smallness, inadequacy, territoriality issues, and such that we as a species will be able to overcome these impediments and attain a greater understanding of our true Creative Nature. Such is this wonderful spiritual journey and we at the Reiki Centre embrace this path with gusto. What else is there to do on this little blue planet, eh?

From The Magic Room:

The prayers of the people have been heard. Our response is to grow, expand, offer more services, more opportunities to gather, to learn, and to connect to Source.

We are asking for your "YES". 

We will require assistance on all levels; painting, housekeeping, construction, retail design, sewing, furniture donations, workshop facilitators, advertising, supplies, regular tithing or monetary donations (as our rent will increase), and most of all your physical Presence.

When we participate in a regular spiritual practice in community, not only do we strengthen our own Inner Peace, but more importantly we strengthen the Whole. When we commit to our deepest "YES" through active participation, we are grounding the Peace we want to see in the world and this is how the global transformation will take place.

When we enter into humility and decide to serve humanity through compassion and the desire to heal, we ourselves are made Whole, for we are All One.

Please respond from your Sacred Heart so I might "know" the strength of this community of Peacemakers and Lightworkers.  From there, we will be further guided as to appropriate timing and action. Our current intention is to take over the space in the neighboring unit to provide for larger gatherings, workshops, and events. Additional practitioner space will also be available. (and another bathroom!.. :-)

Beautiful Beings!

So much is happening so quickly! A once gentle river running through the Hockley Valley is presently swollen with fast moving waters - the current so quick and the water so abundant that a lot of the surrounding soil and forest debris is being swept up and carried away, and new avenues are being found for the excess water to flow to as well! What a fabulous mirror for all that is happening in our lives. When this is happening for us, it can be challenging indeed to maintain our footing, or find a dry patch to walk on! The Reiki Centre needs your help.

As the end of the month swiftly approaches, we acknowledge that our donations and workshop revenues have once again fallen short of our basic requirements of rent, hydro, phone, & insurance (approximately $2000/month)

At no time in our 18 months of operation have any of the staff or in house practitioners drawn a salary. They have instead, because of their strong belief in the necessity of the continued existence of the Centre, given generously of their time, expertise, and often dollars.

We are asking you to please look within, at what you have received through our Presence or programs to recognize the value The Reiki Centre provides for your personal spiritual growth and development, and for the greater community as a whole.

As you know, many of our programs are offered on a donation basis and thus are available to everyone regardless of their current financial ability. Whether you are a regular visitor to the Centre, drop in every now and then, or have only participated once, the energy and essence of The Vortex continues to support the spiritual journey of everyone who has come into contact with us.

The time of one or a select few of us carrying the responsibility of this Centre is past. The onus is now upon the shoulders of this community whether or not and how, The Reiki Centre survives. For those of you who know me personally, you will recognize how great a challenge it is for me to "not take sole responsibility" and to open up and ask for help. I've said this many times: "I did not build this place for me, I built it for YOU.", and as such it is here for your use. Please find the Truth within your Awakened Heart to assist me in this grand Mission of Peacemaking.

Exciting News Update ~ 5/29/2009

Greetings Spiritual Peacemakers!

I know I usually begin with a beautiful quote but I'm so excited I've just got to share this news first!

Today we received our approved Letters Patent - granting us Charitable status as an Ontario Corporation under the name: The Beloved Community Canada Ministries !

Once the next application process is complete with the Canada Revenue Agency, we will have our own registered charitable number and be able to issue tax receipts. (whew... one step at a time, it seems!)

As for "business as usual", we will continue to operate as The Reiki Centre storefront (since the essential energies are the same Christed Consciousness emanations of Peace & Love) so we do not confuse the general public.

Naturally, our programs and workshops will continue to offer leading edge guidance, tools, and understanding for those simply seeking Peace or for those undergoing the current ascension process in all areas of Life.

I am ETERNALLY GRATEFUL to those dedicated individuals who have supported the vision, believed whole heartedly in what we are here to do, have generously given of their time, energy, presence, and dollars. (You know who you are & that I Love You deeply!) Where we are now could not have come about without the MANY contributions, great and small, from this Blessed Community of Lightworkers.

Summer's Here ~ 6/22/2009

WOW! What a Solstice! More than 50 powerful Lightworkers gathered for our First Annual World Healing Conference yesterday held at the Nottawasaga Inn. Three presenters provided their unique information, style, and energy to assist in directing the attendees into places of healing and expansion. In my opinion, one of the most important pieces of validating information was the importance of developing and maintaining a consistant spiritual practice.

Time and again we have seen how participating in a regular spiritual discipline, no matter what the path looks like, results in more health, more serenity, and more peace of mind, not to mention more abundance & synchronicities. In short, a fuller, deeper Life experience. And of course, where two or more are gathered, I AM THAT, is present!

So Much To Do ~ 6/28/2009

The energies of the past week have been crammed full of activity and excitement; “so much to do, so little time”! But, the “doing” is Joy focused in that so many ideas, inspirations and creations have been birthed following the powerful Solstice of June 21st. For some, summer is for upgrading the house, time in the garden, beautifying our environment, time with kids and family, camping, or just hanging out with friends. As we relax and allow the heat of the Solar Light to melt away our troubles, assisting us in refocusing our priorities, it is helpful to remember to include the spiritual component. Being able to maintain connection to our Source and balance in all that we do, is vital for feeding the manifestation of our Beloved New Earth. Please take some time to join us for some delicious spiritual nourishment!

It's All About Focus ~ 7/6/2009

Is it so difficult to see the goodness present in our world? In my opinion, it's all about resonance. We can only see that which we are. Meaning, we are the projectors of our own experience, so our only task then is to take responsibility for our own projecting. In the past, we have used the "power of creation to deny the power of creation". Now, it's time to recognize our culpability and to create from a place of deliberate joy. Not just some of the time or every now and then, but all the time; constantly and consistently. It's all about focus.

Come then.... and we will focus together.

Sizzling Solar Summer ~ 7/13/2009

Power is in the present moment, and these summer months are packed full of Solar Power. The Light of each and every Soul has been stimulated into an accelerated expansion. Massive shifting of personal and global consciousness is at hand and this leg of the journey more than at any other time requires that we gather together in community; unifying in our communion. We draw support from one another. We receive validation and acceptance from one another. But most of all, we share our Joy with one another. Life is supposed to be fun! Come on out and play with us!

Mid-Summer Nights Dream ~ 7/27/2009

As the energy fluctuations surge (to match our wonky weather) much is being purged from the subconscious realms. This means more rest than normal is being asked of us. It seems that every day we are being asked to surrender up yet another belief from the old world paradigms. Clearing, clearing, and more clearing can be exhausting. Spiritual temper tantrums, major melt downs, facing serious life decisions, health challenges, just to name a few scenarios. We are reminded (once again) to take the time for ourselves that our bodies and minds are screaming for.

Take the time to find a moment of Peace to nurture your spirit, mind, and body.

Ahh Summer! ~ 8/4/2009

As the full moon approaches, some may notice an additional quickening of energy shifting. This is an amazing opportunity to explore exactly what it is that we “want”. What is it that brings us the most joy? How would we choose to express that joy in the world? The movie “The Secret” got many people started in learning to understand the Law of Attraction and manifestation in the physical world, and “The Moses Code” took these insights one step further by introducing the “desires of the Soul”. So, how are we to know the difference? When we feel Peace. When we feel excitement. When we feel detachment. When we feel celebratory. All these emotions can guide us to “right where we want to be”. Even though they may seem at odds (peace and detachment are passive while excitement and joy are active), it is this dynamic equilibrium which facilitates the most effortless, creative, and beautiful manifestations. Join us at The Reiki Centre where we explore the many ways to get to that place deep inside that KNOWS the Laws of Creation.

Whew What A Rush ~ 8/26/2009

WOW! what a crazy summer, eh? It seems that our nutty weather is simply mirroring our swift and sometimes turbulent energy shifts. What we no longer need is being dumped at an alarming rate. What we have been asking for is arriving remarkably faster. And our spiritual eyes are being subjected to enormous amounts of Light. For us at The Reiki Centre, August has proven to be our "coming out" month, what with sidewalk sales, festivals, radio spots, outreach campaigns, graduations, and finally our upcoming Open House this Saturday. Speaking of which, come on out and enjoy a little "me" time with our talented practitioners, readers, Reiki Masters, and spiritual councelors. This day is "on us", for YOU - our most cherished patrons - both new and old. It is our opportunity to "Give Everything to Everything" - to practice our core teaching. If you come to play with us, you might just learn our NEW SECRET!

Hot Summer Days ~ 8/17/2009

As the last of our summer schedule begins to wind down, it seems that our weather is just getting started! It is so important that we all take the time to enjoy what is here for us right now. The blue sky, the warm breezes, the cold drinks! Spending time in the garden, by the pool, or out in nature on a trail, Ontario truly has some brilliant sights to offer. And as usual, it's all about balance... :-)

Gratitude is the Glue ~ 8/31/2009

A note of gratitude goes out to the participants of our recent Open House! Facilitators & friends had a wonderful day filled with exploration, insights, healing, and scrumptious culinary treats. Winners of the door prizes will be contacted separately and we look forward to offering this event again soon.

Our New Secret is “out of the bag”. The Reiki Centre will be moving to our new location at 19 Victoria St. West as of November 1st (all Saints day) just in time to celebrate our 2-year anniversary! The new space is more than twice the size, has two entrances, plenty of parking, and easy access for handy capable. Back to School ~ 9/7/2009

And so as many of us send our little ones (and not so little ones) off to school once more, we watch them participate in their own grand manifestation plan. Sometimes watching others pursue their paths in a seemingly difficult or challenging pattern while not interfering in their personal evolutionary development can in itself be an enormous spiritual lesson. It seems that if we are to remain open and teachable, even the most “spiritually mature” of us must admit humility in the face of such an incredibly diverse and expanding human condition. New worlds are truly opening up as new dreamers arrive daily upon this planet. New paradigms of thought, creativity, and manifestation are cropping up so quickly its enough to make ones head spin. More and more it seems, the desire to gather in like minded groups, to celebrate the expansion, or to simply bask in the rapture of delicious choices are becoming the “norm”.

Joy To The World ~ 9/14/2009

Thank you to all those who have offered their assistance towards our relocating process. Teams will be contacted and coordinated shortly. After last weeks energy of  9-9-9  I’m not sure where to begin! So much of the “old” is simply done and while some may sit for a moment in the in-between spaces, this doesn’t mean we are resting on our laurels. Its now time for us to really “dream big”. I’ve been receiving reports from a number of sources claiming all sorts of wondrous achievements for humanity from anchoring the Christ Consciousness in all of us, to the crystallization of our DNA. And why not. Isn’t it time for us to all shift into our true source and substance? Why continue to fight with the duality of the third dimension when there is so much more at our fingertips? As Abraham says; “We can’t get it wrong, and we never get it done. We are eternal beings with way more ahead of us than is behind us.”

Chilly Mornings ~ 9/20/2009

What a beautiful weekend heralding the change of the seasons! And oh what a reflection of our monumental inner changes as we prepare ourselves to go deeper into the experience of Oneness through the fall transition. Old worn out patterns of resistance simply fall away, and thank goodness because I was getting tired of carrying all that baggage around, and for what? To perpetuate my story of struggle? I’m done with that! I no longer need to validate my existence through hardship. Instead I embrace my Beingness as an integral essential component of Universal order and I celebrate my Freedom!

True Generosity ~ 9/28/2009

Renovation plans for the New Reiki Centre are coming along nicely thanks to the many volunteers giving of their time, energy, and expertise. We will have a more detailed wish list shortly but for now we could use any sort of painting supplies (from drop sheets to brushes) so please let us know if you have some extras to spare. Our October calendar has been updated again (3 times now) so please have a look at the changes. We are almost booked up for November as well, which marks our 2 Year Anniversary! Wow! It’s been an amazing 2 years of organic growth as we have done our very best to listen and respond to the needs of the people on a day to day basis. The process of transitioning from the old world paradigms to those of the New Earth are often uncomfortable but well worth the effort. We thank you from the Centre of our Sacred Hearts for your continued participation, enthusiasm, and Joy. Please watch for our next Open House and a multitude of new course/workshop offerings from some fabulous teachers & facilitators. We are here to Serve.

Happy Thanksgiving ~ 10/11/2009

So much change, coming at us so fast. Many lessons one after the other, with blinding speed. So much to process, so much to understand. The answer:  be still …. and listen. Peace is all around us. She is silent and serene. Come to the Centre of the wheel, and rest in her arms of Grace. It is quiet here; a respite from all the “winds of change”. Peace Be in me; Peace Be as me. Just breathe.
